Company Overview

An independent research & advisory firm.

Orvessa Hayes is an independent investment research and advisory firm headquartered in the United States. Our professional tradition began with Everett Hayes’s independent entrepreneurial and advisory practice, started in 1995.

Early work focused on corporate research, financial analysis, capital planning, and corporate strategy, later developing capabilities in professional investment research, corporate advisory, private client services, and risk management. After a systematic restructuring initiated in 2016, the modern Orvessa Hayes corporate structure was formally established in 2019.

Company History

Three decades of methodical growth.

1995

Formation of the Professional Foundation

Everett Hayes began his independent entrepreneurial and corporate advisory practice — corporate financial analysis, industry research, capital planning, strategy, and business analysis — building a method centered on fundamentals, capital allocation, and risk.

1996 – 2000

Research Team Formed

A professional research team took shape, establishing corporate research archives, industry databases, financial analysis templates, valuation models, macroeconomic records, and a risk assessment system — moving from individual experience toward a repeatable, verifiable method.

2001 – 2007

Investment Research & International Network

Research expanded into professional investment research and an integrated framework of corporate fundamentals, industry structure, macro environment, and capital structure. From 2004, international cooperation began across Japan, Singapore, Hong Kong, Canada, and South Africa — research capability first, physical expansion second.

2008

Risk Framework Strengthened

The global financial crisis drove deeper research into leverage, corporate debt, credit quality, liquidity, balance-sheet structure, cash flow, debt sustainability, and stress testing. Risk management became the starting point of capital allocation, not an afterthought.

2009 – 2015

Professional System Matures

Services expanded across asset allocation, corporate valuation, capital structure, long-term investing, and risk management, forming the firm’s principal professional directions.

2016 – 2019

Institutional Restructuring & Modern Structure

A systematic restructuring integrated research methodology, risk standards, governance, client service, data and technology, international networks, and approval mechanisms. In 2019 the modern Orvessa Hayes corporate architecture was established.

2020 – 2026

International & European Expansion

The firm expanded U.S. and Asian research capabilities, strengthening networks in Singapore, Japan, Hong Kong, Canada, and South Africa — and from 2026 developing European markets across Italy, France, Poland, and Romania.

Growth does not equal value creation.

Founder

Everett Hayes

Everett Hayes began his independent entrepreneurial and advisory practice in 1995, focused on corporate financial analysis, industry research, corporate strategy, and capital planning.

His early research asked not only whether a company could grow, but how much capital growth required, whether it would generate sufficient cash flow, and whether the risk taken matched the potential return. A staged-expansion engagement with a manufacturer — facing customer concentration, long equipment payback, rising fixed costs, and higher debt — crystallized a lasting conviction: growth does not equal value creation.

After 2008 he reinforced risk management, cash flow, and capital preservation. Following the 2016 restructuring, his focus shifted to long-term strategy, research philosophy, major client relationships, senior talent development, and risk culture — guiding the firm from founder-led practice to an independently operating institution.

Firm Culture

Four core principles.

Independence

We uphold independent research and judgment rather than simply following market sentiment.

Discipline

Capital allocation must rest on a clear research and risk framework.

Research-Driven

Data, fundamentals, industry research, and risk analysis form the basis of decisions.

Long-Term

We focus on long-term value rather than simply chasing short-term price movements.
